The start-up company TripRebel presented a new online portal allowing clear and transparent room booking. The booking process is optimized by a sophisticated algorithm that cancels bookings and renews them in case room prizes sink during the time until check-in. SCAR was used to create personalized recommendations, which helps customers finding suitable rooms for their needs. The used recommendation methods were evaluated and improved, as well as expanded on the basis of collected customer user interactions (e.g., actual bookings, likes and views).
